DISCOVER THE DELIGHTS OF TARARUA

Are you travelling between Wellington and Napier Hastings in the Hawkes Bay of New Zealand? Maybe you are visiting family in the area, or maybe you are the host for visitors in our Tararua area.   Rob and Tricia from Tararua Tiki Tours invite you to sit back and allow us to show you the hidden and not so hidden gems of our area.

The Tararua District extends from Norsewood in the north with its unique Scandinavian flavour, to Pukaha/Mt Bruce in the south with the National Bird Sanctuary. From the Ruahines with their majestic wind turbines and Tararua Ranges with awesome tramping and hunting, right across to the Pacific coast where you can see remnants of an historic pier at Akitio, and Herbertville where you can see Cape Turnagain, named by Captain Cook.

We have put together Themed Tours with points of interest that will delight and inform you, making wonderful memories of your visit to Tararua.  You will travel in our air conditioned 12 seater van with our very experienced driver, and hear stories of interest as you travel from Tricia and you will quickly see the love she has of this area where her family pioneered over 130years ago.  If you have booked a full day tour your lunch is included.

Maybe you are planning the walk the Manawatu Gorge Walk.  This beautiful track is not a loop track, so to save the hastle of two vehicles and the to-ing and fro-ing that entails, or having someone miss the walk to be the 'pick up' driver, our Shuttle Service will pick you up from your vehicle and transfer you to the other end.  From there you can walk at your leisure (approx 3-4 hrs) back to your car.

So, climb aboard and come with us, let us show you the history, the gardens, the scenic reserves, native bush walks, arts and crafts, the Te Apiti Windfarm and the Manawatu Gorge.
